Read ThisNBA 2K22 was officially released worldwide on September 10. While fans were expecting a ton of improvements and new features in NBA 2K22, the shooting mechanism, other than the Dunk Gauge, has not undergone a major overhaul.
As in NBA 2K21, players need to collect some that will help players learn specific shooting skills. Together with all the new shooting badges introduced in NBA 2K22, the total number is now 80. This means that before players can use different types of shooting skills, both online and MyCareer and MyNBA in game mode, they must earn a series of badges shooting. NBA 2K22. In this article, we take a look at some of the best shooting badges available in NBA 2K22.
NBA 2K22: The best shooting badges in the game
To create a greater sense of realism when shooting, NBA 2K22 introduced a total of 17 new shooting badges with skills not previously possible. The following new shooting badges have been introduced to the game:
Fast Twitch, Grace Under Pressure, Limitless Takeoff, Mouse in the House, Unstrippable, Chef, Limitless Spot-up, Lucky #7, Mismatch Expert, Glue Hands, Hyperdrive, Quick Chain, Post Playmaker, Triple Threat Juke, Ball Stripper, Hustler, Menace.
As you can see with most of the badges mentioned above, the badges in question will allow players to take a series of unlikely shots. For example, a quick twitch allows players to get off the floor faster to try lunges and standing hands. The Mercy Under Pressure Badge allows players to fire the unlikely shots under pressure and convert standing setups more efficiently.
When it comes to the overall effectiveness of the shooting badges, the best NBA 2K21 badges like the hot zone hunter and range extender still seem to be the easiest in the game. The Hot Zone Hunter Badge offers a larger green area which increases the player's chance of completing an accurate pose. The Range Extender badge, on the other hand, allows players to shoot from deep threes, where a player's overall 3 point score also plays a large part in the nature of the shot.
Other popular shooting badges most commonly used in NBA 2K21 and carried over to NBA 2K22 are Catch and Shoot, Dead Eye, and the Corner Shooting Specialist Badge. As conditions suggest, the catch-and-shoot badge increases the player's chances of making alley-oops and other catch-and-shoot shots. The Angle Specialist allows for deeper horn shots, and the Dead Eye Badge allows you to take lightly contested shots with greater accuracy.
While the shooting badge series is included in NBA 2K22, most of the new badges address specific situations that are only triggered when certain rating thresholds are met for both defender and striker. As such, the more popular shooting badges listed above, which were also part of NBA 2K21, still seem to be the best shooting badges in the game.
