Last week, Jagex sent a message to RuneLive's developers demanding that they stop working and not publish any further plugin updates. This was due to internal plans for a visual update plugin that are still in their infancy. After the community responded, the Old School RuneScape team and the RuneLite 117 developers and Adam held talks to come up with a deal that could see RuneLive as a bridge system to a new internal option. The release of the 117Scape update has been confirmed by the team and 117Scape as part of this new agreement.

Jagex will continue to work on his internal client, but for now RuneLive may be, well, alive. 117Scape HD plugin has been released. The update is available directly from the RuneLite plug-in center and is only supported by 117Scape and the RuneLite team.

In the announcement of the new terms of the contract, they clearly state that this is a community-only project and that Jagex cannot help with support or problems. Plain when it comes to unofficial modder projects, but worth repeating as this release came on a roller coaster of almost complete, almost closing, to a friendly release.

The official Old School RuneScape team will soon share details about their own work and HD client options. If last week's announcements are true, they'll also clarify information about third-party plugins. As RuneLive is intended to be a bridge to a new client, it is not yet known what this will mean after its launch.

The first information about the HD C ++ internal client will appear in the refreshed Gazeta Gielinor. The first details, including features and new improved details for mobile devices, will be published soon. An in-house developed HD client is due out this year. But until then, after expressing support and reaching an acceptable agreement, the community has RuneLive, showing that there is strength in a committed community.
