However, it was also a testing ground for some really important additions, such as replacing the Barrio we lived in for three years, City, an experiment that laid the groundwork for what's closest to a basketball sandbox and will be gradually refined. To refine this and other aspects both in other game modes and in gameplay, coming NBA 2K22, a game that promises not to leave anyone behind.

To move from promise to reality, the player who illustrates it best this year was chosen as the game's image: Luka Doncic, the cover hero of both the new and the previous generation. The full next-gen development cycle has allowed the Visual Concepts team to delve even deeper into the new consoles, the PS5 and Xbox series. The main idea, he says, is that it is a system that primarily rewards the skill of the commander by explaining that, in principle, each attack has its own specific "cons" in defense, which is a new concept in sports competitions. When asked specifically about the fatigue aspect, Wang also confirms that he will have more weight in the game, adding that each move, both in attack and defense, will have a different effect on fatigue.

While we were mostly talking about defense, there were also some changes to attack with the same idea as we discussed earlier, thus breaking a defender, new signature moves, shot into a basket, dunks in traffic or aisles also demand more from the player.

NBA 2K22 puzzles

Just like in NBA 2K21, NBA 2K22 will see different editions, especially considering that it is an intergenerational game. On the one hand, we provide the standard edition for one platform and once again inform you that the PC version will be up-to-date, and therefore the same as for PS4 and Xbox One. Meanwhile, with Luka Doncic on the cover, the multigenerational edition gives us access to two versions of the same console family (PS4 and PS5 or Xbox One and Xbox Series) and various extras such as NBA 2K22 MT, tokens, cards for My Team or items for My Player. Finally, the biggest edition will feature Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Dirk Nowitzki and Kevin Durant and will offer the same as the Multigenerational Edition plus 100,000 CV (in-game currency) to invest in my career or my team.
